CLEAR INFORMATION BEFORE YOU BOOK

Our service fees

All fees are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include any applicable GST.

Consultations & therapy

Charges are proportional to the time delivered. These are practice fees, before any eligible rebate or benefit.

Hourly service fees
ServicePer hour
Psychologist NDIS item 15_054_0128_1_3$252.99
Counsellor NDIS item 15_043_0128_1_3$156.16
Therapy assistant · Level 1 NDIS item 15_052_0128_1_3$56.16
Therapy assistant · Level 2 NDIS item 15_053_0128_1_3$86.79

The practice’s non-NDIS fees match the listed national NDIS rates. Mandatory funding rules and any agreed lower fee take precedence. NDIS charges must be for eligible, agreed supports and stay within the applicable price limit; no gap is added above that limit. Current NDIS prices and claiming rules are checked for the service date.

For psychotherapy or behaviour therapy, please confirm the applicable practitioner and fee with us before booking. Therapy assistants work under therapist delegation and supervision.

NDIS provider travel

Eligible travel time is charged at the hourly rates below, with prior agreement and within applicable claiming limits.

Eligible provider travel time
PractitionerPer hour
Psychologist$126.50
Counsellor$78.08
Therapy assistant · Level 1$28.08
Therapy assistant · Level 2$43.40

Vehicle costs, parking and tolls are agreed separately. Shared travel is fairly apportioned. No travel is charged for telehealth. Participant-specific reports and other agreed work outside appointments are billed for actual eligible time, with a prior estimate; routine administration and booking changes are not charged separately.

Report writing & documentation

These fees cover writing only. Consultations, assessments, testing and reviews are charged separately at the agreed service rate.

Separately commissioned reports
ReportWriting fee
Centrelink report$1,000
Legal / court report$1,500–$3,000Estimate*
Citizenship exemption report$1,000
Comprehensive NDIS Access Application Psychological Report$1,500

*The legal / court report fee is an estimate and may be higher. We agree the fee, scope, recipient and due date before work starts; later increases require your prior agreement. Payment does not guarantee a particular opinion or outcome.

The $1,500 NDIS access application report is a separately agreed private or other-approved-funder service and is not automatically charged to an NDIS plan. Reports funded by an existing NDIS plan are charged for actual authorised time under the applicable item and price limit, rather than automatically at these package prices.

Payment & cancellations

Non-NDIS consultation fees are payable on the day unless another arrangement is approved. Separately commissioned private report-writing fees are payable before release, subject to the agreed funding terms. NDIS invoices are issued after eligible services are delivered; no advance NDIS payment is required.

Please give at least two clear business days’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellation or non-attendance charges may apply only as permitted by your funding arrangements and agreed service terms. They are not an automatic full-fee charge. Please ask us to confirm your cancellation deadline and any applicable fee.

Medicare rebates · no bulk billing

Auburn Psychology does not bulk bill. Medicare rebates are available for eligible psychology sessions with a valid referral and Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

Your out-of-pocket cost is the session fee minus any Medicare rebate or private health benefit you are eligible to claim. If the benefit is paid to you, you pay the full fee first and claim the reimbursement. If an authorised benefit is paid directly to the practice, it is credited to your invoice.

Private health benefits depend on your cover, limits and practitioner recognition. Medicare and private health cannot both reimburse the same consultation. Please confirm your eligibility and rebate amount with us before booking.
